Abstract

One of the by-products in cotton, particularly that of Sudan provenance, is honeydew. The phenomenon of honeydew, the causes of its appearance, methods of its discovering (quality analysis), possibilities of quantity determination are explained and problems of processing of honedew soiled cotton discussed. In this sense the basic problems are those concerning stickeness of such cotton. The possibilities of lessening this problem and improvement of spinning performance are indicated.
