Abstract

Technical-technological importance of the sewing needle in the sewing process of garment is presented. The investigation possibilities of needle penetration powers in the sewing process of garment, published by various authors, are discussed. A modern system for the investigation of the sewing properties of knitwear, based on the measurements of penetration powers is presented. The possibilities of investigations of penetration powers are compared and evaluated.
