Abstract

The possibility of application of the plane chromatography on textiles is described. Äs chromatographic base a wool fabric is used, impregnated with solvent mixture ethyl alcohol/chloroform, 1:1 (v/v). The investigations were carried out with acid fast dyestuffs Orbacid (red B, blue AGL, yellow R) depending on the duration and pH value of dye bath. It was slow, that the obtained Rf value is reciprocal to the reaction rate dyestuff - wool fibre. It was found, that fabric can successfully be applied, if pH value, preceding the chromatographic examinations, is deduced to 5.
