Abstract

An example of jumper production with three-colour jacquard interlacing on a modern automatic flat knitting machine in a small family enterprise is given. The factors of an optimal machine choice, of production costs and profitable work as well as of the business management of such a plant are elaborated. The calculated price of a jumper is 14.70 DM or 54.40 kn. By earning 10 DM per jumper the selling price is 33 DEM or 120 kn. Supposing that the machine produces 10 000 pieces per year, a profit of 10 000 DM may be achieved.
