Abstract

Wrapping conditions under a constant drawing force have been analysed. The analysis has been done on the apparatus specially constructed for the purpose of this research. Measured average unbroken yarn length has been found to be very much near the theoretical one, obtained through probability analysis, using the graph of breaking forces frequency distribution. Yarn has also been investigated by passing it through a weaving simulator, connected with a computer used for data processing. The recordings have been done under various dynamic conditions. The probability of yarn breakage has been obtained by the integration of overlapping area of breaking forces graph and dynamic drawing forces. High frequency of correlation between real and theoretical breakages has been found for most cases.
