Abstract

The primary task of each production is to care for our environment and to improve the quality of life. Finishing is one of the most ecologically critical processes because of the wide range of materials, textile auxiliaries, chemicals and thickeners which are used daily in the chemical part of the textile production. This paper is a contribution to environment friendly dyeing. It considers the possibility of replacing the hazardous ethanoic acid with the more friendly methanoic acid in the process of wool dyeing with acid dyes. Environment friendly dyeing was evaluated from colour quality and ecological aspects.
