Abstract

The origins of soiling of knitwear during the production process are explained. The resistance of knitwear (using the example of stockings) to cleaning agents and processes as well as the possibilities of their elimination is presented. The cleaning processes are worked out in detail and the aprearances occuring duing the process of cleaning are discussed. The results obtained showed, that by the processes presented in this paper it is possible to eliminate 97 % of soiling caused by knitting process. This is certainly a considerable contribution to the quality increase and process rationalizaton of business operation of knitwear producers.
