Objective Evaluation of Heat-set Garment Parts

Authors

Abstract

Objective evaluation of mechanical and physical properties of fabrics has been presented, together with their applications in the field of evaluating the choice of fusible interlinings. The evaluation discussed is an objective of the sophistic quality of the heat-set garment part as a composite, on the basis of mechanical and physical properties of the fabric and fusible interlinen, having also in mind their influence upon the stability and shringk-resistance, adequate drape and fitting of the item of clothing corcened. The influence of individual mechanical and physical properties of the basic mateial and sticky interlinen upon the deformation of the heat-set garment parts has been discussed.
