Abstract

Aesthetic properties of a fabric are varied through adequate combinations of weaves and yarns in colour. Unlimited number of various shot effects is obtained following to relatively small units of weave, with a variation of colour sequence in warp and weft. Manufacture of woven fabrics combining weave and colour is possible on cam looms, dobby and jacquard machines, but dobby machines are most often used for the purpose. The weaves are characterised by relative small units of weave, which can result in big samples on the fabric. It depends upon the colour repeat units by warp and by weft.
