Investigations of Polydisperse Binding Agents on Non-wovens

Abstract

Various high-polymer dispersions for strengthening of non-wovens are presented. Particularly good results are achieved by the application of high-polymer dispersions based on polyacrylate, but satisfactory results can be obtained also by dispersions based on butadiene styrene. By dispersions based on polyvinyl acetate good bondings are obtained, but a hard handle. The results about bonding of stitch and non-woven fleece are explained.
