Geotextiles - an Expanding Area

Abstract

Definitions are given of various terms in the field of geotextiles, history of the development of geotextiles, their application in building and construction, characteristics of geotextiles important for meeting the requirements of installation and use, as well as legal regulation and standards regulating the area, together with some forecasts regarding the future of geotextiles. Novelties are also presented in the usage of geotextiles in waterway construction.
