Abstract

A review of PETP (polyethylene terephtalate polymer) and PES (polyester) waste in the production of 14 000 t/year PETP granulate and PES fibres yearly is given. The world trends and the way of using of PETP after the use of thermoplastic bottles and films in developed countries are described. The paper describes the processing procedures of PETP and PES fibres: glykolysis, mechanical-chemical R-P procedure, processing of PETP by grinding, processing of PES fibre waste by re-granulation. The physical-chemical quality properties of pilot produced regranulate are described. A solution for the processing of PETP and PES fibre waste of a determined production capacity with the possibility of its expansion is proposed. On the basis of investigations and professional literature the possibilities ot the application of high quality PETP re-granulate are pointed out.
