Abstract

Sensory factors are important parameters in the product quality assessment. Therefore, tactile sensory analysis has been used as a new approach to characterize the quality of fabric. This method has been applied to describe the effects of some structure parameters, such as elastane plat, yarns count and the knitting machine gauge on the tactile feeling of knitted fabrics. The obtained results show that the influence of structure parameters is clearly observed and can be explained by construction consideration.
