Abstract

The fourth industrial revolution, or, as it is today commonly called Industry 4.0, was not inspired by any particular invention as the three previous ones. It was launched by Germany in 2011 and it has given rise to the development of industry and automation of manufacturing processes using all modern production means known under the name of Cyber-Physical System (CPS). They integrate computer technology, data transfer and processing and modem mechanical systems. The modern factory is not isolated from social changes in economy development, development of science and education as represented by Triple Helix Model. This trend is also present in the textile and clothing production and can be spoken of Textile Industry 4.0 and Clothing Industry 4.0. There are some trends in the development of clothing manufacturing that justify this name.
