A spectropohotometric method resp. colorimetry offering new possibilities of the objective evaluation of color quality by applying modern electronics enabled an intervention in production process. By means of making a recipe with brightening agents and simultaneous shading with dyestuffs on a cotton fabric the reliability and objectivity of spectrophotometric method is shown.
