Abstract

The speaker reports about technical innovations in the yarn production by means of the cotton spinning system and the short staple open end spinning system and talks about those innovations, which are promising but yet in a state of development. He bases his considerations on the special requirements with regard to flexibility and a high, guaranteed quality standard which a sales spinner has to meet. A further issue is the experience gained from operating and maintaining high performance machines. The speaker finally considers the cooperation among producers of machines and users on the one hand, suppliers of fibres and users of machine producers perspectively on the other hand.
