Abstract

The effect of the heat on the standard PP-fibres was studied. The characteristic thermal constants and the behaviour in a wide temperature interval up to the thermal polymere decomposition was found out. The influence of thermal and hydrothermal treatment on the performance properties was examined. It was established, that the influence of the heat, particularly of hydrothermal treatment, causes dimensional changes which produce deformations and limit the field of application of PP-fibres.
