Abstract

In this work theoretical elements of dyestuff particles migration are explained. Migration appears as a particularly outstanding problem in the process of dyeing of textile substrate with in the water insoluble dyestuffs. Among the factors influencing the appearance and intensity of migration of dyestuff particles, particular attention is devoted to antimigrants, which are the most frequently used as dye-bath auxiliaries in thermosol dyeing method, with particular reference to antimigrants on the basis of alginate, polyacrylate and carboxymethylcellulose. The test methods of investigation of the effect of antimigrants and methods for determination of the intensity of migration of dyestuff particles are described.
