Abstract

Paid work as a specific form of export represents a significant economic activity in various branches of Croatian economy, but it is mostly spread in textile and clothing industry. In the former socialistic system this kind of work caused negative connotations on the whole and it was on the margin of social interest, although it did not deserve it according to the realized value. Business cooperation and paid work have become an indispensable fact of the world textile market. Negative factors of the domestic surroundings only intensified the interest for paid work so that its great influence on the total condition, realized effects as well as on the prospects of the textile and clothing industry of Croatia can be concluded.
