Abstract

It has been established that sizing agent concentration in the bath increases during the process of sizing, which also means the increment of the sizing layer on warp. Yarn parameter influences have been analysed, together with the influences of the sizing agent type and sizing conditions. A high correlation of the sizing agent applied achieved through laboratory desizing and through a fast method of sizing agent determination on the basis of the actual concentration and sizing agent consumption seems to speak in favour of this fast method.
