Abstract

The impact of five different organic stabilisers in alkaline peroxide bleaching has been investigated, together with the impact of temperature and the presence of cotton upon the rate of hydrogen peroxide breakdown. HnO2 breakdown has been manganometrically determined. The presence of cotton has exhibited the highest level of influence on peroxide breakdown rate among all the parameters investigated.
