Abstract

A concise presentation of production, structure, properties and usage of lyocell fibre has been given. Emphasis has been given to environmentally acceptable production process employing NMMO solvents, as compared to viscose process. Specific structural characteristics of the new fibres have been pointed out, properties resulting from them, especially those by which lyocell fibres differ from conventional viscose and modal fibres.
