Abstract

The effects of fabric weave and density on yarn slippage in the area of the sewing seam are investigated, with various numbers of stitches per 1 cm of the seam length. The investigation is performed following the HRN.F.S.024. The results obtained indicate that the frequency of yarn slippage is reversely proportional with the weft yarn density, woven fabric structure and the number of stitches per 1 cm of the seam length.
