Development Trends in Sewiesng Techniques and Garment Engineering

Abstract

Development of sewing techniques is presented, together with trends in machine building and garment engineering. Machine building is mostly concerned with intensive upgrading of the existing equipment, with the aim of achieving higher flexibility, higher quality and reducing workloads, although the development of a new generation of sewing machines is by no means neglected. Garment engineering development trends are reflected in new methods and systems of objective measurement of fabric mechanical properties and processing parameters necessary to control and manage the processes. Special attention is given to knowing the interactions in the system sewing machine-fabric-processing parameters.
