Substitution of Phosphates in Detergents
Abstract
The need to decrease or to eliminate the eutrophy of the rivers and lakes, caused by phosphates, has led to the substitution of phospahtes in detergents. The in the practice proved product Na-aluminium silicate »Wessalith« by Degussa, that corresponds to »Sasil« by Henkel, presents the joint product of both producers. It fulfills all demands put on a phosphate substituent. The production, physical and chemical properties, forms of delivery and the results achieved with »Wessalith« in washing processes are discussed.Downloads
