Abstract

Because for higher performances of large circular knitting machines, the mechanical load of working organs, particularly that of latch needles increases. The investigations on the newly developed needle control mechanism showed that the recognition of defaults on knitted goods is possible. The investigations of the reliability of the mechanism are going on, with the purpose to get the security about the quantification of important technical parameters, such as identification of defaults, number of faulty switching motions etc.
