Non-conventional method for the levelling dyeing of the acrylic fibers with cationic dyestuffs

The chitosan pre-treatments are sure and efficient solutions for accomplishing the leveling dyeing of the acrylic-type synthetic materials with cationic dyestuffs. The determination, in an original way, of the levelness of dyeing and the presentation of its dependence upon the characteristics and concentration of chitosan used and upon the values of the temperature gradient during the dyeing process have been studied. The mechanism of the afferent reactions has been specified, and the effects of the chitosan, determined by its ”pre-retarder” role have been rendered evident by the more decreased values of the colour strength K/S of the pre-treated samples as well as by the colour differences as compared to the witness sample.Downloads
