Abstract

By a decrease of the yarn feed to the knitting feed system from 188 to 159 m/min, at the constant sinking depth also the yarn tensile strength has changed between 1 and 2 cN. At a large circular knitting machine with the fineness 15 E, 10 samples with various structure parameters from cotton yarn treated with paraffin wax and untreated, with the fineness 30 tex were knitted. A decisive difference in the number of courses and mass per unit area was found. Also an analysis is given of the relaxation of knitwear until stabilizaton.
