Abstract

Mechanism of action of various groups of chemical compounds used as addition in the production of low flammability fibres (viscose, polyester polyamide, polyacrylonitrile, polypropylene) is presented. Also heat-resistant fibres are refifered to and a survey of standardized methods for investigation of inflammability and combustibility of fibres and textile fabrics is given.
