Abstract

New concepts (Just in Time, CIM, Quick Response) of the finishing process control are cited. Measurement and control systems, which are inevitable in the application of these concepts, are described. The advantages of automation of laboratory by means of colorimetry as well as the basic concepts of automation of the textile finishing processes are discussed. The influence of the finishing process control by means of computer on the further development of wet and dry finishing, also in the textile printing and in the solution of effluent problems is described.
