The influence of some factors on the degree of utilization of cutting images

Abstract

The effect of cutting pattern type, fabric pattern repeat, fabric width and the direction of fitting on the degree of men 's suit cutting pattern utilisation is investigated. The type of cutting pattern exhibits the biggest influence in the case of cutting patterns for the fabrics of stripped design. In the case of checked fabrics, the size of the pattern repeat is the desicive factor. The application of two-way fitting contributes to better cutting pattern utilisation. The difference in double-size and single-size cutting patterns is not statistically relevant. No evidence of the impact of fabric width on the cutting pattern utilisation has been found.
