Abstract

The impact of the width of woven fabric test sample in plain weave on the results of breaking force and breaking elongation testing results is investigated. A positive linear correlation is found between the test sample width and its breaking force. High values of the linear correlation coefficient are confirmed by testing statistic significance of the correlation coefficient. Regression directions are calculated, on the basis of which test sample breaking force can be predicted and correlated to the sample width.
