Abstract

In the study, comparative investigations of the relations between direct and indirect methods for determination of the fineness and crimp of wool are carried out. At the hand of statistical analysis the correlation coefficients among individual methods and their significance are determined. By the F and t-tests the coincidence of the results obtained by various methods is investigated. By means of these parameters and specific informations obtained by particular methods, the conclusion is drawn about the choice and practical application of individual methods.
