Zeta potential determination of flat solid surfaces using a SurPASS electrokinetic analyzer
Keywords:

Using electrokinetic measurements, the zeta potential is determined, which shows the state of the surface charge at the interface between the solid and liquid phases. Knowing the surface charge provides information about the state, quality and properties of macroscopic surfaces in a polar medium. This paper examines the principle of measuring the zeta potential of solids on the modern electrokinetic analyzer SurPass, which is based on the methods of flow current and flow potential. The aim of this paper is to first of all present the theoretical foundations of the zeta potential and highlight the advantages of using this instrument for flat solid surfaces.Downloads
