Graphic Workstations for Textile and Garment Computer Design in Clothing Industry Technical Preparation
Abstract
The characteristics of contemporary graphic workstations for textile and clothing computer design, produced by French firm Lectra Systemes and used as separate units in technical preparation process in clothing industry, have been presented. Technical properties and performances of the computer, monitor, graphic tablet, scanner, mattrice and colour printers, have been described, together with software packages employed by the graphic station. Examples of applying fabric patterns on a scanned fashion drawing of an article of clothing have been produced and presented in detail, employing key software modules for garment designing.Downloads
