Process Parameters of Sewing Operations in Connecting Curved Seams
Abstract
Investigations are described of the changes in garment sewing process parameter in connecting curved seams 100 to 750 mm long, in curvature radius range from 150 to 1000 mm. The shortest duration for executing such seams is 6.86 s, the longest being 28.80 s. Machine utilisation degree varies from 20.79 to 44.61 %, while the highest percentage of machine working time achieved at maximum speed is 28.26 %. Average stitching speeds of sewing are in the range from 1687 stitches/min to 2530 stitches/min, specific sewing times for all the machine procedures are from 10.30 to 15.55 s, while specific times for the operation range from 22.95 to 97.80 s. Using multiple linear and nonlinear regression, mathematical models are established on the basis of the data obtained, which make possible the calculation of technological operation duration times, degree of sewing machine utilisation and specific sewing time for any curved seam of known length and curvature radius.Downloads
