Enzymatic and Alkaline Scouring of Cotton Yarns and Characterization of Knitted Fabrics Made of them

Abstract

Carded ring-spun, worsted ring-spun and rotor spun single yarns as well as carded ring-spun, carded rotor spun plied yarns were enzymatic and alkaline scoured. Single yarns were scoured in laboratory conditions on cones and hanks and structural characteristics studied. Plied yarns are scoured in industrial conditions on cones. Knitted fabrics were made of them and their structural characteristics defined.
