Abstract

The paper gives an overview of phase change materials. Techniques of applying these materials to the textile substrate are described taking special account of microcapsulation. Chemical-analytical methods used in testing phase change materials are described. The concluding part of the paper describes perspectives and main problems arising in the use of phase change materials in the textile sector.
