Creative thinking techniques in the research of materials for more comfort in sports

Abstract

Creativity is recognised as a prerequisite for competitiveness, regardless of the individual career. Although it has been confirmed that the use of creative thinking techniques plays an important role in certain phases of scientific research, only a small number of papers have been published in the field of technical sciences dealing with the presentation of the use of creative techniques in scientific research. The paper presents different techniques of creative thinking and they are considered from the point of view of their applicability and with reference to the advantages and disadvantages. The possibility of using individual creative thinking techniques such as a mental map, a questionnaire and SCAMPER techniques is illustrated by the example of scientific research into textile materials for more comfort in sports.
