Generation of a Signal at Erroneus Operation of the Weft Breake Mechanism on the Basis of Projectile Velocity

Abstract

On the basis of analitical equation for projectile velocity and performed velocity measurements, the criteria are established for the evaluation of correct operation of the weft breake mechanisms and compensators in projectile weaving machines. Taking into consideration the constant value of projectile trajectory, velocity value can be obtained by measuring the time interval of projectile movement between the initial and final position. At the correct operation, the time interval is within the proscribed limits, while the deviation from these limits points to erroneous operation of mechanisms. Deviations from the relevant mechanism parameters in respect to the time duration of projectile movement have been analyzed. In the paper the measuring system with the measurement results as well as a simplified solution for the indication of the erroneous operation of mechanism systems is described.
