Development of Sewing Machines for the Clothing Industry

Abstract

A survey is given of development of universal and special sewing machines, automatic sewing machines and aggregates which were exposed at the International fair of clothing manufacturing machines, IMB 91 in Cologne. A presentation is given of the technical "equipment of these machines concerning the application of machine, memory for the control of sewing machines or their several functions, sewing speed, the tension and control of the thread and other functions. Modular and flexible production sewing systems and multipurpose special sewing machines are also described in this work.
