Computer Processing of Jacquard Ornamental Patterns with unlimited Repeat Units

Abstract

The paper gives a survey of methods and hardware systems enabling the promotion and cheapening of textile production, especially in jacquard weaving technology. The new CRO method of creating endlessly large weave units and weave designs with hollow weaving technique by using computer technology is elaborated and the advantages in relation to the conventional method of punching cards are explained.
