Abstract

The efficiency of organic phosphorous compound Briquest 422-25S as a flame retardant agent for the achievement of flame resistance of nonwoven viscose was investigated. Pad liquors contained different concentrations of phosphorous in the solution. The important feature was the necessity to use catalysts such as dicyandiamid or cyanamid. The influence of different concentrations of catalysts on the efficiency of flame retardant agent was investigated. The efficiency of flame retardant agent was determined with limited oxygen index and wrinkle recovery angles. The ATR FT-IR spectroscopy and electronic microscope pictures of samples was also analysed.
