Abstract

The objective of this research is to show through the experience that I have acquired over two decades with the textile and fashion industry, through consulting, research on raw materials and design, university teaching, work with artisans, small workmanship, academics, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship. The complexity of the design with its connection in the Colombian society, the economic, aesthetic dynamics, its conception about the environment and the form of interaction with emotional, social and psychological aspects which are part of the orange economy today. The main motivation of the Edesign studio is curiosity, creativity and constant research of raw materials, especially textiles, to generate more conscious and sustainable designs and products within green markets that rescue ancestral elements such as natural fibers to reincorporate them to contemporary design; inviting the user to involute and to value more the natural resources and the handmade design with textiles, giving more weight to the high quality than to the quantity.
