Abstract

This article describes and represents by pictures, the cotton honeydew producing insects and composition of honeydew. The cotton honeydew is the most important origin of cotton stickiness. The qualitative and quantitative methods for determining presence of honeydew on cotton fibres are mentioned and the latest apparatus for determining degree of stickiness are described.
