International and New European Systems of Clothing Sizes and Systems of Marking These Sizes

Abstract

The ISO-systems of marking clothing sizes of various types of clothing articles are discussed. The new eruopean systems of clothing sizes and the new systems of marking these sizes are also outlined. The european systems of clothing sizes are based on various body hights and types depending on breast, waist and hip circumference. But the systems of marking clothing sizes agree with the ISO-systems and they are supplied with an abbreviated mark. The new european systems of clothing sizes make a significant contribution to the creation of the international systems of these sizes.
