Abstract

Artistic designing of children‘s clothing is based on the study of child‘s growth and development, as well as on psycho-motoric development in particular ages of a child. The garment should be designed, above all, functionally and with a lot of imagination, having in mind the age and development of the children it is intended for. Bodily proportions of the children body are the key for a successful artistic design of an article of clothing. Children body movements follow the movements of orientation lines and creases on the garment are created accordingly. They represent the movements of a children fashion figure, making the artistic project alive and attractive, adequate to the age in question. Orientation lines in human body follow the lines of garment basic cut and move with the garment. New possibilities of their application open with incorporating electronic devices into garment and creating intelligent clothing.
