Enzyme Polishing of Tencel Fabric

Abstract

The Tencel fabric was treated with celulaza enzymes Cellusoft L with concentrations 8, 10, 12 %, for 60, 120 and 180 min, in order to achieve good exploitation and aesthetic characteristics. After the enzyme treatment, following properties were examined: loss of weight, decrease of strength, elongation at break, abrasion, water adsorption, angle of wrinkling, change of color. The results achieved were very good. The optimal concentrations are 8-12 % and duration of treatment 120 min.
