Influence of Powers and Oscillation of the Thread in the Knitting Zone on the Streakiness

Abstract

In the study the causes of the formation of horizontal stripes in taffeta knitwear with one warp, at the moment of setting in motion and stopping of raschel machine »Super Garant + RE-4 by Karl Mayer is explained. The purpose of investigation was to find out those powers, that work in the zone of knitting in single cyclic phases of loop formation, as well as on the oscillation of the thread in this zone. Experimental study of the tension of the thread helped to explain the whole technological process, what has a great scientific and practical importance.
